Coastal Community Credit Union now on Atsource

Atsource Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that Coastal Community Credit Union has adopted the Atsource system to manage payouts and discharge of mortgages. Coastal Community is the “…largest island-based financial services organization….” with 23 branches over Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.  

Beginning on October 28, 2020  all new payout requests should be requested via the Atsource Mortgage Discharge System.

Commercial Transactions

We have made a number of enhancements to the Atsource entry screen to make it easier for Commercial Legal Professionals to enter an Atsource transaction with multiple lots. We queried our existing transaction database and determined that over 98% of all our transactions are single lot transactions. As a result, we surveyed our Financial Institution clients and asked them if having a maximum of two title searches per transaction was adequate. As it turns out, it is.

Improved Look

Atsource is constantly updating our software to improve our customer’s experience. It has been a number of years since we last changed the look and feel of the software and we thought it was time to modernize. On Friday, July 5, 2019, you will sign in and have a new look that includes the following benefits:

1.            A new task bar located on the right of the screen that allows easy access to items that are directly related to the transaction you are looking at.

Fee Changes

BC Land Titles and Survey Authority (LTSA) have announced that there will be a fee increase to most LTSA services effective April 1st. The notice of the LTSA fee increase is located at the following web page: Including in the new LTSA fee schedule is an increase for filing a discharge in the Land Title Registry to $29.66 plus the $1.50 myLTSA service charge for a total of $31.16.

Simplified Selection of Transferors

Effective September 14, 2018, Atsource is pleased to announce a software change to the process of entering the transferor for an internal transaction. Up to now it was necessary to review the full text of the Mortgagor’s recital to determine the Mortgagor that is listed on title. We have now changed the system so that each recital has the name of the Mortgagor in a separate field to identify it. This will save a few moments of your time and will cut down on errors.
